Bespoke

The Art of Tailored Design

Every space has its own voice, and my goal is to create pieces that speak to that particular space. I specialize in uniquebespoke works designed to integrate seamlessly into your environment, adding texture, warmth, and a unique character to your walls.

Whether you are looking for the rhythmic delicacy of a tapestry from the Out of the Loom collection or the three-dimensional presence of my Sculptural Knots, each commission is an open collaboration to transform your vision into a textile structure.

The Creative Process

How does it work?

1. The Dialogue

Our collaboration begins with a conversation. To better understand the brief, I will ask for photos of your space, approximate measurements, and any color or style preferences you have in mind.

2. The Blueprint

I will develop a personalized proposal including fiber selection, a custom color palette, and suggested dimensions. Once the budget is approved and a 50% deposit is made, the piece is officially added to my production calendar.

A textured wall hanging with raised patterns and pom-pom details, mounted on a wooden rod, hangs above a wooden console table decorated with a vase, books, and a small dish, in a cozy living room with a cream armchair and a floor lamp.

3. The Slow Craft

Each work is a slow and meticulous process, handcrafted in my studio in Brussels. Production time typically ranges from 4 to 8 weeks depending on the complexity of the piece. I will provide updates during the process so you can witness the evolution of the work.

4. Inhabiting the Space

Once the piece is finished, I will send you photographs of the final result. Upon completion of the final payment, your artwork is carefully packaged and shipped to its new home, ready to inhabit your space.

Start a Collaboration

A bespoke textile is more than a decorative layer; it is a structural element that defines the atmosphere and soul of a room. Whether you are an interior designer working on a residential project or a private collector looking for a singular focal point, I am always open to new collaborations that challenge the boundaries of fiber and space.

What sets Filo apart isn’t just my process—it’s the intention behind it. I take time to understand, explore, and create with purpose at every turn and just for you.
